Anastasia Maximova

Anastasia is a botanical artist, tutor, and researcher, exploring arts-based environmental education. She provides workshops with a focus on the history of botanical art, the peculiarities of its graphite, ink, and watercolor techniques, and the interconnection between contemporary Botanical Art and environmental sustainability.

 

Anastasia is a member of the Botanical Art Society of Australia, the Association of British Botanical Artists, the American Society of Botanical Artists, and the Russian Botanical Society.

 

She has actively participated in national and international art exhibitions, including a project “Botanical Art Worldwide” and a variety of socio-cultural projects, devoted to plant biodiversity conservation.The recent one is the art story on the Mangroves of Australia, which is being displayed in the Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art at Kew in support of the United Nations 26th Climate Change Conference – COP26-Glasgow 2021.
